Dr. Mohammad Abbasi

He has helped launch several mosques and schools in New Jersey. He also has been a Friday khateeb and lecturer since 1990 and has raised funds for countless Islamic projects nationwide since the 1980s.
Dr. Osama Abuirshaid
Dr. Osama Abuirshaid, AMP national board member, is the founder and editor of Al Meezan newspaper. He is also a highly sought after political analyst and commentator. Dr. Abuirshaid is the co-author of the study: "Hamas: Ideological Rigidity and Political Flexibility," which was published by the United States Institute of Peace in 2009. Dr. Abuirshaid is a regular commentator on American domestic and foreign policy on various Arabic satellite networks, such as Al Jazeera, Syrian TV, Al-Alam, Abu-Dhabi, and Alhiwar TV.
Khadija Benguenna is an Algerian journalist working in the Al Jazeera chanel in Qatar. Born in Algeria in 1965, Ms. Benguenna graduated from the radio and television section of the Media Institute at the University of Algiers.
Dr. Mustafa Barghouti
Dr. Mustafa Barghouti is a Palestinian physician, activist, and politician who serves as general secretary of the Palestine National Initiative. He has been a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council since 2006 and is also a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Central Council. In 2007, Barghouti was minister of information in the Palestinian unity government. In 1991, Dr. Barghouti was a delegate to the Madrid Conference, which was held with the aim of ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the first intifada. Dr. Barghouti was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2010.
Dr. Hatem Bazian
Dr. Hatem Bazian is the chairman of the American Muslims for Palestine. He is also a senior lecturer in the departments of Near Eastern and Ethnic studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Bazian is a co-founder and academic affairs chair at Zaytuna College of California, the first accredited Muslim liberal arts college in America. In 2009 at Berkeley, Dr. Bazian founded the Center for the Study and Documentation of Islamophobia, a research unit dedicated to the systematic study of the ‘othering’ of Islam and Muslims. He is the author of the book “Jerusalem in Islamic Consciousness: A Textual Survey of Muslim claims and rights to the Sacred City.
Lamis Deek, an attorney and human rights advocate specializing in defending Arab and Muslim community members, activists and organizers against governmental attack. Ms. Lamis is a long-time member of Al-Awda NY: The Palestine Right to Return Coalition, the Arab Muslim American Federation, and the National Lawyers Guild. She is co-founder of the US Palestine Community Network.
Dr. Manal Fakhoury
Dr. Manal Fakhoury is the owner and director of Fakhoury Leadership International, which focuses on empowering youth in leadership training and success principles. Dr. Fakhoury has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree as well as an MBA. She is the chairman of United Voices for America, a civic engagement organization working to increase the participation of people of color, minorities and youth in the political process. She serves on several boards and is the president of Toastmasters United. Dr. Fakhoury lives with her husband and five children in Florida.
Oussama Jammal is the secretary general of the US Council of Muslim Organizations, a national coalition of several national organizations. He is also the director of the Muslim American Society - Public Affairs and Civic Engagement, an organization dedicated to empowering the Muslim community to engage in civic affairs. He is also the president of the Mosque Foundation.
Dr. Abdallah Marouf
Dr. Abdallah Marouf is a Palestinian academic, activist and researcher. Dr. Marouf is also a lecturer with the International Faculty of Islamic and Religious Studies, at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University.
Sh. Abdelfattah Mourou
Sheikh Abdelfattah Mourou is a Tunisian lawyer and politician. He has a bachelor’s degree in law and another one in Islamic sciences. Sheikh Mourou is a cofounder of the Tunisian Islamic Tendency Movement, which adopted the name Harakat al-Nahda (Renaissance Movement) in 1989 and he is one of its influential leaders.
Sh. Kifah Mustapha
Sheikh Kifah Mustapha is the imam of the Prayer Center of Orland Park. He also is the appointed representative for the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Lebanon (Darul Fatwa) on behalf of the Lebanese Community in the USA. Sheikh Kifah Mustapha serves as the chairman of the Illinois Council of Imams and Scholars; president for the Shura of Islamic Family Counselors of America; and chairman of the Quran Institute of Chicago MAS.
Miko Peled is an Israeli peace activist, author, and karate instructor. He has written the book, "The General’s Son: Journey of an Israeli in Palestine," which highlights his transformation from a Zionist to a Palestine solidarity activist. Mr. Peled has traveled extensively, giving talks about his experiences to audiences across the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
Dr. Zaher Sahloul
Dr. Zaher Sahloul is the past president of the Syrian American Medical Society, a non-profit, non-political, educational and humanitarian organization. Dr. Sahloul is also a community activist and the former chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago. He is also the former president of the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, IL He is also on the Illinois State Muslim Advisory Council, and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrants and Refugees Rights, ICIRR. Dr. Zaher is also a practicing physician and is a partner at Pulmonary Consultants, SC.
Imran Salha is an American born Palestinian Daa'iyah who has been actively involved in Islamic Work through khutbahs, lectures, and counseling Muslim Youth for years. He is a proficient reciter of the Quran and was influenced very heavily by the Mashaayikh in his area who he studied with informally. Imran's has a passion for Arabic Poetry, Martial Arts, and teaching. He now serves as the Youth Director at the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and gives lectures on Spiritual development of the Soul "for MAS-Chicago. Imran and his wife are both Medical Students and hope to graduate as Doctors in May of 2018 insha'Allah."
Linda Sarsour is the executive director of the Arab American Association of New York. Sarsour has been called a "champion of change" by the Obama administration. In 2016, Sarsour endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for President of the United States
Kristin Szremski is the current director of media and communications for the American Muslims for Palestine. She is an award-winning investigative reporter and editor. In 2010, CNN International featured Ms. Szremski in a series of videos about Ramadan. The Huffington Post featured Ms. Szremski's Hajj journey, and also animated her experience as an American Muslim woman for a video project called :Muslim in America." Her work appears in outlets such as Al Jazeera English, Middle East Eye, Mondweiss and the Electronic Intifada, and her op-eds have appeared in newspapers across the country. Ms. Szremski is a member of the National Press Club.
