In the aftermath of the tumultuous presidential and congressional elections of 2020, what are the opportunities that exist in the US political systems to advocate for and advance Palestinian rights? How can we best push the next administration and new Congress to support Palestinian self-determination? This session will examine the important ramifications of the election with an all-star lineup, including:

- Phyllis Bennis – Director of the New Internationalism Project at IPS, focusing on Middle East, U.S. wars, and UN issues.

بعد فوز جوزيف بايدن في الانتخابات الرئاسية تثور أسئلة مركزية حول تداعيات ذلك على القضية الفلسطينية، ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط عموماً. من ذلك، ما هي أوجه الخلاف المتوقعة بين إدارتي بايدن وترامب في التعامل مع القضية الفلسطينية؟ ما هو مستقبل اتفاقات التطبيع العربي مع إسرائيل؟ ما المطلوب منا لخدمة القضية الفلسطينية في ضوء الإدارة القادمة؟ وغير ذلك الكثير من القضايا. هذه الأسئلة وغيرها نناقشها مع كوكبة من الخبراء والمختصين:

A key issue for Palestinians since the Nakba and 67 has revolved around the role of the diaspora in the Palestinian national project. Beyond building and sustaining international solidarity with Palestine, how are/can the diaspora play a stronger role in the future of Palestine? This session will discuss these issue with:
- Loubna Qutami: Assistant Professor in the Department of Asian American Studies at UCLA
- Raed Jarrar: Palestinian-American blogger and political advocate based in Washington, DC, AMP’s Advocacy Director
- Lara Kiswani: Lecturer at San Francisco State University in the College of Ethnic Studies, Executive director of the Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC)
- Taher Herzallah: AMP’s Director of Outreach and Grassroots Organizing
